Philip's Sanctuary- Antipolo

Tucked in the mountains of Panlilingan, Antipolo Rizal is “Phillip’s Sanctuary” . The 12-hectare farm land owned by the Pestaño family is definitely a haven that offers an escape from the confines of city life.  Pepe and Nene Pestaño have created an Ecological Sanctuary as an accessible outdoor venue for all sorts of recreation and outdoor activities.  They also aim to cultivate respect and concern for the environment. Most of the wood that was used during the site creation was homegrown in the farm, planted by the owners themselves!

ECO-CAMP ADVENTURE
Youth adventure activities are not only for the scouts, but for any ordinary student as well. The activities are aimed to inculcate the value of teamwork, resourcefulness, responsibility, creativity and independence. The challenges involved in each activity aspire to develop the youth’s self confidence, leadership and team spirit. There are designated areas for camp sites, activity centers, toilets and shower area, kitchen / barbecue area, bonfire, bike trails and many more.
Phillip’s Sanctuary offers educational packages ideal for school field trips and those in search for adventure and knowledge. Kids will definitely enjoy being the modern-day Indiana Jones crossing our hanging bridge! They can go fishing, swimming in the fresh stream of water, fishing for tilapias and catfish, feeding the ducks, goats and cow and riding the carabao. Nene and Pepe will give the kids a personalized tour of the farm starting from the butterfly sanctuary all the way to the plant zone. The participants’ classroom is the great outdoors. Students go about their camp activities giving importance to environmental awareness and working as a team. Everyone will enjoy harvesting and eating the fresh fruits and vegetables that abound in the farm!
As an eco- camp venue, Phillip’s Sanctuary offers to make everyone’s nature tripping as meaningful and memorable as possible. Kids can experience the adventure of the great outdoors sans the risk of the actual mountaineering while parents can revive their vibrant and energetic attitude.

Credits to twixietops for the photos, i'm planning to go back at Philip's with my family for us to experience those obstacles. Thanks and God bless us all.

Tanay, Rizal

April 5, 2013 was a Good Friday and yes it was good day for me with my wife to have a "break-in" trip to Tanay, Rizal via underbone motorcycle-Suzuki Smash 155cc. At exactly 5 o' clock in the morning as we began our prayer for a safe travel followed by a pandesal and coffee as our breakfast. After wearing some protective gears, of course, checking every parts such as breaks, tires, etc.consumed much of the time. The sun was already shining bright when we left home. After a kilometer, it's time to refuel! 100 pesos of petron xcs, from Valenzuela City to Tanay Rizal. Nagtipid eh! I realized the stupid thing that i've made when we're almost running out of fuel. It wont happen if i got full-tank in the first place or at least 150 pesos of premium gasoline. Since we were already in that situation, we had no choice but to find a store that sells "bote-bote ng gasolina", and fortunately there was.So another liter of gasoline was filled to the tank, may kamahalan lang, 75 yata per liter pero ok lang at continue parin sa aming joy ride hanggang sa isang lugar, "breath taking " ika nga., such an awesome view of mountain ranges in Tanay. Eto po ang ilan sa mga pics.

Malapit ito sa Boso-Boso highlands, Antipolo City.

Malapit ito kay Mang Vic's bulalohan

picture-picture bago umuwi

Maraming salamat. God bless us all.
